YouTube Mastery Lesson #1 - Why Video Will Always Make You More Money
SUBJECT: YouTube Mastery Lesson #1 - Why Video Will Always Make You More Money
{!firstname_fix}
If you're looking to instantly maximize your exposure, generate
insane traffic to your website and stand out in your market,
there's one very quick and easy way to do it.
Advertise your business on the leading video community online -
YouTube!
* YouTube generates millions of visitors a month – over 800
million!
* 70% of YouTube traffic comes from outside of the United States.
* YouTube is localized in 43 countries and across 60 languages!
* You will be able to reach thousands of “mobile-searchers”
instantly!
It's never been easier to turn viewers into customers and
attract new business, all with one powerful viral-based
marketing campaign. Plus, YouTube advertising is not only easy
to set up but extremely affordable even for those on a limited
budget.
However, before you set up your very first ad on YouTube, let's
take a quick look at why this marketing channel is such a
powerful weapon in building a targeted customer base and
generating massive traffic to your offers and websites that is
not only active but incredibly targeted.
If you've ever implemented video into your marketing campaigns
in the past, then chances are you already know of the power that
video-based promotions offer. It helps you connect with your
target audience in a powerful, direct way that can't be touched
by "conventional" marketing.
And videos can also go viral quickly, which means that you can
easily reach out to thousands of new customers automatically,
just through the power of word of mouth and network sharing.
Don't forget that videos also help you convey your message in
such a way that you can invoke emotional responses, touch down
on "hot spots" and exploit buyer-driven "triggers" to get the
response that you're looking for.
Video marketing is a far more advanced, powerful and direct
method of building a recognized (and memorable) brand,
connecting with your audience, and entertaining your market.
There's simply no other source that can compare to the traffic
potential of a well-crafted video marketing campaign.
Videos do the following...
* Entertains your audience
* Teaches your customer base
* Connects with your prospects
* Builds trust, awareness and recognition
And it's time that you position your company in front of a
global market with your very own powerful video marketing
campaign.
STEP #1: CREATE YOUR VIDEO
This is the most time consuming part of it all because you want
to make sure that your video is well designed, entertaining, and
that sound and clarity is the best that it can be.
Depending on your target audience, "amateur" based videos may
perform better than polished videos that appear too
professional.
It's important to know your target audience and what they are
likely to respond to. Then, grab a camera and either shoot the
video yourself, or hire it out. And of course, you can also
consider creating an entirely digital-based animation style
video if you feel that it will connect with your audience.
If you're looking for affordable video developers, set up a
project request at Freelancer.com ...For cheaper/faster
projects, check out Fiverr.com
STEP #2: UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO
Post your video on YouTube. Then use Google AdWords for video to
promote it to the right viewers. You'll only pay when viewers
choose to watch your video.
STEP #3: ADVERTISE YOUR VIDEO!
In order to advertise your video within the YouTube community,
you will need to connect your video account to Google Adwords.
Adwords is a performance-based advertising channel, allowing you
to set a budget, target your advertisements and set your ads on
autopilot.
These advertisements are called "TrueView" ads, and they make it
easier than ever to target your ideal viewers (and customers!)
because you only pay whenever a viewer chooses to watch your
video!
We'll be looking at this in more detail in our next lesson.

YouTube Mastery Lesson #2 - 'TruView' Advertising
SUBJECT: YouTube Mastery Lesson #2 - 'TruView' Advertising
{!firstname_fix}
In order for your videos to convert, you need to target buyer’s
not just viewers. To do that, you will want to take advantage of
Google Adwords's demographic targeting options in order to reach
out to your audience.
This includes: Advertising based on keywords, age groups,
gender, location, or language.
Ad-targeting is extremely important because without it, you are
basically advertising "blindly" with no way of knowing whether
the right audience is even seeing your ads. Failing to target
your advertisements will also cost you - big time, as your ads
will be seen (and even clicked on) by people who have no real
interest in what you have to offer.
So, take the time to tailor your ads to your audience, nailing
down specific demographics so you can easily reach out to your
customer base.
YouTube advertising through Google Video Ads is very easy to set
up because you are able to choose from a set of comprehensive
options that will help you better target your customer base.
This includes:
* Keyword based advertising
* Interest categories
* Topics & Placements
* Demographics (all kinds - age, location, language)
* Social interests
In addition, with TrueView ads, you only pay when a viewer
chooses to watch your ad, similar to pay-per-click advertising,
so you are only paying when a prospect has seen your ad!
With Google video ads, you are able to promote your business
within YouTube, the #1 online video community, as well as the
Google Display Network, which includes millions of individual
websites (reaching over 89% of the online population!).
Imagine your ad appearing on millions of websites all across the
Internet! Not only will you be able to infiltrate any niche
market you wish, but also you'll be able to create a unique
brand that is instantly recognized by potential customers.
Spread your marketing message instantly, exposure your business
to new customers and promote your video marketing campaigns on a
large scale.
With Google’s, "TrueView" advertising portal you are also able
to maximize exposure through connected channels, including:
* TrueView in-stream
* TrueView in-search
* TrueView in-display
* TrueView in-slate
Let's take a quick look at what each of these channels has to offer:
TrueView in-stream
* Ads play as a pre-, mid- or post-roll on YouTube partner
videos of all lengths.
* After an ad plays for 5 seconds, viewers get the choice to
skip it or watch the rest.
* Pay only when viewers watch 30 seconds of the ad or to
completion if the ad is less than 30 seconds.
TrueView in-search ads
* Based on user search terms, ads rise to the top of Promoted
Video search results and suggestions.
* Viewers see certain ads promoted (placed above others or
suggested) and click to watch if interested.
* Pay only when viewers choose to watch your ad.
For an example, visit YouTube.com and enter in the search term
"smart phones" or another popular search term to see a series of
TrueView in-search ads.
All of the videos shown in the right-hand column are TrueView
ads as well as the group of ads that appear at the very top of
the search results window!
TrueView in-slate ads
* Ads play before long-form YouTube partner videos over 10
minutes.
* Before a video plays, viewers choose to either watch an ad
from 1 of 3 different advertisers, or to watch regular
commercial breaks during the video.
* Pay only when viewers choose to watch your ad.
TrueView in-display ads
* Ads are promoted against related content across the Google
Display Network.
* Viewers click to play the ad if they are interested.
* Pay only when viewers choose to watch your ad. Display ad
formats will vary by publisher. On YouTube, the ad appears as a
highlighted suggested video.
Hopefully this has given you a deeper insight into the
possibilities of using YouTube. Build up your confidence and get
started today with Tube Traffic Mayhem as this will guide you
on-screen so you'll know exactly what to do!

YouTube Mastery Lesson #3 - Creating A Money-Making Video
SUBJECT: YouTube Mastery Lesson #3 - Creating A Money-Making Video
{!firstname_fix}
Many people believe creating a video is far too technical or
complicated, and they’d never be able to manage it on their own.
In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. Creating a
high quality video presentation is actually quite simple when
you know which tools to use, and how to create a style, flow and
voice for your video that will be well received by your target
audience.
In this section, you’re going to learn some easy ways to create
your own videos even if you don’t currently know the first thing
about doing so.
Before you take a single step to create a video, think about the
purpose of your video. What exactly do you want this video to
achieve? You absolutely must include a call-to-action in your
video. Otherwise, the video isn’t going to be very effective for
marketing purposes. The trouble is, if you don’t think about
your video’s purpose, you won’t know what your call-to-action
should be.
Here are some things you might want to accomplish with a video:
1. Lead capture (list building)
2. Branding & Authority building
3. Selling products & services
4. Driving traffic to a blog or website
5. Affiliate promotions & third party offers
Once you have defined your video’s purpose, you’ll be able to
craft a proper call-to-action that effectively encourages people
to take the action, such as visiting your website and buying
your product or signing up to your newsletter.
Before you create your first video, you need to do a little
preparation first. You should keep your video between 3 and 10
minutes, if possible. This is the optimal length for a YouTube
video.
There are seven important things you need to make sure every
video contains:
1. Introduction – Your introduction will tell them who you are
and also let them know where they can find you. For example, you
could open with, “Hello, this is Jane Smith of Jane’s Crafting
Website at JanesCrafting.com.”
2. Why Watch – Next, be sure you tell people approximately how
long the video is, what they will learn, and why they should
keep watching.
3. The Meat – Most of your video should be meaty information of
real value. This is where you offer the valuable content of your
video.
4. Recap – Offer a very quick recap of what you just went over.
5. Final Advice – Give them some kind of parting information
such as a warning, a tip or some other helpful advice that
supports the video.
6. Call-to-Action – Finally, let the viewer know what to do
next. Whether you want them to visit your website and subscribe
to your email list, buy something, subscribe to your YouTube
channel, or something else, you need to tell them what to do!
7. URL or Brand – At the end, you’ll want a few moments of
silence to promote your brand or your URL. This could be up to
two minutes in length, but one minute is about right. You can
have your URL or brand alone on the screen, perhaps along with
some brief call-to-action text.
Your overall video type is important to consider, too. Is your
video going to be a funny video that is meant to pull in the
maximum number of visitors virally? Is it going to be a tutorial
or educational video? Perhaps a controversial topic that is
guaranteed to get attention? Try to choose a format that will
work well with the effect you’re looking for from the video.
If you’re selling an educational course, then a tutorial might
make sense. If you’re promoting something with huge mass-market
appeal, something funny or controversial might bring in bulk
traffic. Be sure to choose the format that makes sense for your
specific purposes.

YouTube Mastery Lesson #4 - "What Type Of Video Should I Make?"
SUBJECT: YouTube Mastery Lesson #4 - "What Type Of Video Should I Make?"
{!firstname_fix}
Before you get started, you might want to create a script for
your video. The script should be around 200 words or so, but it
could be longer or shorter depending on what type of video
you’ll be creating.
This script is important, because it will be used for:
1. The voiceover, whether you create it or you outsource it.
2. Any text or captions you place on the screen in the video.
3. Estimating the approximate length of the video.
4. The creation of the sequencing of the video.
Spend time on the script, because not only will it be used for
all of the important aspects above, but it will also make or
break the effectiveness of your video!
There are many types of videos you could create, but we’re only
going to discuss a few of the easiest types. This will get you
creating videos quickly and with minimal training.
Talking Head
A talking head video is your typical video in which a single
person (or sometimes a group of people) stands in front of the
camera talking. This type of video is quickly losing favor on
YouTube, because it’s one of the most popular types and
sometimes it isn’t very engaging. This is especially true if you
don’t have a really good on-screen presence.
Of course, if your video’s purpose is to brand you,
specifically, you will probably want to appear on camera for at
least part of the video!
Perhaps the easiest way to create your own talking head video is
to use a quality cell phone to record your video. There are many
different video-sharing apps that will allow you to upload your
video immediately after creation. However, you’ll want to make
sure you can add your URL to the video before it’s posted, along
with some sort of call-to-action.
Screen Capture Videos
Screen capture videos are very simple to make with software like
Camtasia (PC) and Screenflow (Mac) will let you record your
computer screen while you talk into a microphone. This type of
video is excellent for demonstrating software, showing how to
use certain websites, etc.
Presentations
You’ve probably heard of presentation software like PowerPoint
and Keynote, but did you know these can be used to create
videos? All you have to do is create a presentation as usual and
then export it to a video format.
If you think there must be some sort of catch, you’d be wrong.
It really is that simple. Here’s a quick rundown of how it’s
done:
1. Create a short script for your video. Generally, this will be
around 200-400 words.
2. Record your voice speaking the script. You can use any audio
program or even an iPhone, as long as you can export the audio
for use in Keynote, PowerPoint or any other presentation
software you use.
3. Create a slide for each sentence in the script you created.
4. Sync the audio file to the presentation.
5. Export to video.
As you can see, this is a very, very simple method for creating
a video! Not only that, but amazingly a very simple presentation
video is an extremely effective video type, and usually holds
its audience captivated and encourages the viewer to take action
at the end!
Outsourcing
If you are still uncomfortable creating your own videos, or if
you just don’t want to do it yourself, you can outsource the
creation of your videos very inexpensively.
Perhaps the best place to outsource video creation is
Fiverr.com. This site has hundreds of different providers who
will create videos for you for only $5. The quality varies
greatly, but as long as you choose a provider with plenty of
positive feedback and samples of their work, you should be fine.
Plus, at only $5, you won’t be out much money if you aren’t
completely happy with the final product.

YouTube Mastery Lesson #5 - How To Get Your Video To The Top!
SUBJECT: YouTube Mastery Lesson #5 - How To Get Your Video To The Top!
{!firstname_fix}
The most interesting and useful video in the world isn’t going
to be effective if no one ever sees it. People won’t just
magically find your video, no matter how much you may wish them
to.
Instead, you must focus on promoting your videos in order to
drive traffic to them. There are several important ways to do
this, and we’re going to take a look at a few of them now.
WARNING: Do NOT upload your video without reading this section
FIRST!
Video Titles & File Names
First, make sure your video’s filename contains your main
keyword phrase. Let’s say you’ve created a video that focuses on
the keyword phrase “ice fishing for beginners”.
You might want to name your file icefishingforbeginners.mov or
icefishingforbeginners.avi or whatever other video file format
you’ve used. This filename will not be listed publicly, but it
will be used as a ranking factor, so this is an important step!
There’s a trick you can use to boost your ranking even further
when you submit your video. It’s called “title stacking”. In
this trick, you use the same keyword with slight variations
twice within a single title. This will get you double relevancy
in YouTube’s search!
Using the ice fishing example, you might make your title:
Ice Fishing for Beginners: Tips for Beginning Ice Fishers
This is an extremely powerful trick that will bring vastly more
traffic to your video than it would otherwise manage to get!
Keywords & Tagging
One very easy way to get tags for your videos is to search
YouTube for your primary keyword phrase and write down all of
the tags from the top 3 videos that show up for your search.
Instead of spending precious time agonizing over which tags you
should use, you can find out exactly which tags are most
effective for your primary search keyword!
Descriptions
One of the most important things to remember about your
description is to include a link to your website in the very
first line of your description. This makes it easy to see. Don’t
forget to include the http:// in your URL or the link won’t be
clickable.
Within the description, you can paste the script you use for
your video. This script should be packed with relevant keywords,
so it should be very helpful for your SEO.
Finally, paste a link to your video at the very end of the
description, because if your video is scraped for use on another
website, you’ll get a free link back to your video which will
boost SEO and traffic to it.
Captions & Annotations
YouTube allows you to use captions and annotations in your
videos. Just click on the plus sign on the right side of the
video player on your own video pages. You should add just a
couple of short annotations to each video. Don’t go overboard
and DO NOT stuff keywords into your captions or annotations.
Just use one or two keywords in a way that makes the caption
useful.
SEO using Fiverr
Find people who specialize in SEO for YouTube videos and who
will upload your video to all of the other major video sites
using a program like Traffic Geyser, HaySpread, TubeMogul, etc.
Be sure to tell the person you hire to include a link to your
YouTube video in the description. This will help boost the
relevance of your YouTube video in addition to bringing in some
direct traffic.
The best thing about this besides how much traffic your video
will get is the fact that this will only cost you $5!
Encouraging Interaction
Don’t forget that interaction is a huge portion of rankings on
YouTube. The more likes your videos get, the more friends you
add, the more subscribers your channel receives, and the more
people who add video responses to your video, the better they
will rank, thus providing even more traffic.
If you’d like to automate some of the hard work of fully
socializing your videos, you can try TubeToolBox.com. This
service will help you add contacts, send messages and share
videos on an automated basis, along with other great YouTube
marketing tasks.
Create a Channel for Each Major Theme
One major mistake a lot of video marketers making is lumping all
of their videos into a single channel. This is a huge mistake,
because you lose relevance that way, because you severely dilute
the effectiveness of the SEO on your channel.
Look at it this way. You wouldn’t create a single website that
contained information about fishing, crocheting, stamp
collecting, and baking, would you? Doing so would dilute any
authority your website might get about each topic. Instead,
you’d create one website for each of the different subjects.
Channels work the same way.
Now, if you have several themes that are focused in a single
niche, you could theoretically combine them into one channel if
you wanted. You could, for example, create a channel for
crafters and have videos about knitting, crocheting, sewing, and
other similar topics. However, the more tightly you theme your
channels, the better you’re likely to rank.
Don't forget if you really want to get the most from your video
marketing efforts and find this all a bit too much to take in at
once, make sure you grab your copy of Tube Traffic Mayhem. We'll
show you how to do all of this and more on-screen so you won't
miss a thing!

YouTube Mastery Lesson #6 - Beyond YouTube... Video Sales Letters
SUBJECT: YouTube Mastery Lesson #6 - Beyond YouTube... Video Sales Letters
{!firstname_fix}
Creating a sales letter that will convert is tricky. There are
so many things that can go wrong, from your headline to your
graphics to your bullet points and so much more. It’s no wonder
a lot of products seem to convert so terribly! This is
especially true when people who have no experience with writing
sales copy try to write their own.
Most people are content to just be a sales letter zombie. They
look at their dismal sales and shrug and say, “I guess people
don’t like my product.”
This kind of complacency is a real killer in business. If you’re
content to wonder why your product isn’t selling, then you’re
already doomed to fail. Don’t let this be you!
It’s time to wake up to the world of video sales letters, the
latest (and greatest) trend in sales pages!
Video sales letters often convert several times better than
standard sales letters, even if you use the same basic sales
copy and techniques! Why? Because it’s a lot more personal when
people can hear your voice and maybe even see your face. And
there are other reasons. Even if you don’t want to appear on
camera, just hearing a voice actor can make a huge difference.
Why Use Video Sales Letters?
You’ve surely noticed by now that video sales letters are all
the rage. It’s no wonder that these sales letters are so
popular, because they can convert many, many times better than
traditional sales letters.
And there’s a lot of reasons for that:
* They are more interesting, thus holding attention longer than
text.
* They are easier to trust, because you can hear and possibly
see the product creator.
* Those who watch an entire video presentation are much more
likely to spend money than those who can’t or won’t.
There are a couple of minor drawbacks to consider:
* Some people prefer to “skim” a sales letter and don’t have the
patience to sit through a video.
* Some people on slow internet connections won’t be able to view
the video even if they want to.
* Video uses more bandwidth, so you need to make sure your
server can handle the load if you get a lot of traffic.
Video truly converts, and if you’re not using video sales
letters, you are missing out on potential sales. You can always
have an alternate sales letter for people who leave your page
without watching the video. Just set it up to open if they click
the back button or close the window.
Video can also work well on squeeze pages, so if you have been
having trouble getting people to opt in to your email list, you
might try a short video on your squeeze page.
Don't forget about the real power behind video sales letters.
They can be applied to your YouTube marketing efforts to help
pre-sell your prospects. With the right guidance you'll have all
skills you'll need to boost your leads and sales! Make sure you

YouTube Mastery Lesson #7 - Beyond YouTube... Creating Engaging Videos
SUBJECT: YouTube Mastery Lesson #7 - Beyond YouTube... Creating Engaging Videos
{!firstname_fix}
The few people who claim their video sales letters aren’t
converting well are often those who put their videos together
without as much thought and attention as they should use.
We are going to look at a few things you can do to make sure
your video sales letters are the best they can be.
1. Grab Attention – Just like your headline, you need to make
sure the first few moments of your sales video grab attention.
Use appealing text, great music, and interesting imagery.
2. Be Brief – A video sales letter is generally most effective
at between 10 and 25 minutes. Sometimes longer videos are
necessary and effective, but most people will lose interest if
you go beyond this range. So keep your video to a reasonable
length, but also long enough to say everything you need to say.
3. Solve a Problem – As in a normal sales letter, your video
should focus on at least one problem your product can solve and
present that clearly.
4. Stay Positive – You may have some negative things you need to
focus on, but the overall tone of your video needs to be
uplifting.
5. Use Auto-Play – I’m sure you’ve heard people talk about how
much they hate auto-play. Yes, there are people who truly detest
it. But the fact is, it works. Whatever your personal feeling
are about it, you should consider using it because you’ll see
results.
6. Don’t Show Video Controls – Another proven fact of video
sales letters is that you shouldn’t show the video controls.
Don’t make it so people can click ahead or go back. Don’t make
it so they can pause it. Just keep the controls off.
7. Use Music Carefully – Music can be a great tool in video
sales letters, but it should be used carefully and judiciously.
Be sure music isn’t playing in the background when you’re
speaking, because it could distract from your message.
If you don’t know how to make sales letters, you’ll either need
to learn to do it, or hire someone to do it for you. The best
option, of course, would be to learn to do it yourself. Not only
is that the least expensive option, but your videos will almost
always perform better with that personal touch.
Think about it. Who knows your product better than you? You are
obviously the best one to present your product. You will gain a
lot more credibility if you can look at the camera and say, “Hi,
my name is Jane Smith, and this is my product!”
Sure, you can have someone else create the video for you, but it
is so much better if you can put your own personal touch in the
video and inject your personality into it in the same way you
inject your personality into your product.
I hope you've enjoyed all the free tips we've been giving you.
This whole internet marketing business can be fun and easy once
you get to grips with things and just start taking action. Make
sure you pick up your copy of Tube Traffic Mayhem whilst it's
still fresh in your mind. This will save you tremendous amounts
